What shot should I bring?

Shot #6 for pheasant and chucker. #7.5 for quail. Unplugged guns are allowed and recommend for quail hunting.

How much walking is involved?

Quail hunting requires 2-5 hours of walking. If you are unable to walk for 30 minutes without a break, do not book a quail hunt.

Pheasant shoots are available for those with limited mobility or on days too hot for the dogs to work. We can accommodate up to 12 shooters. *Mike keeps a list of groups looking for additional shooters.

What should I bring?

Shooting glasses & earplugs (REQUIRED)

Your shotgun, ammo, and shell bag or vest.

An article of brightly colored clothing or hunters orange.

Footwear that is thorn proof and waterproof.

Ice chest for lunch and drinks & large enough to hold the processed birds.

Alcohol may be enjoyed AFTER the hunting is finished.

A camera or photographer. Spectators allowed.

Cancelation fees of 50% will be charged for hunts that can not be replaced with other hunting parties.

Late cancelation fee of 30$ on a case by case basis determined by Mike.

We do not hunt in the rain *Mike makes the final decision on cancelations.

No off road vehicles in the fields.

Our dogs are the hunters, you have the privilege of shooting the birds they find.

Can I get lunch ?

The Country Store - Less than 2 miles away.

Hours - Monday-Thursday 6am - 2:30pm Friday & Saturday 6am-3pm Closed on Sunday
